I'm not laughing... Much.

So how many of you have/had a license for the Cook Islands.

Looked at getting a licence when I visited Tonga a couple of years ago but the police station seemed to be closed... so carried on without! Hired a car from the place we were staying - rather ropey - just handed the keys and said off you go. I asked about paperwork / insurance blah blah - he looked at me very oddly.. I said thanks and we were away! Half the cars had windscreens stoved in by coconuts falling off trees so made sure I never left the car under any!

By the way one of the more impressive things to visit on the island

(Apart from the whales of course!)

6 month license. They had planned to kick you off the island by then yes?
I was only there for 2 weeks and the only reason why I went was because I could...

I blame the BBC... Remember the spinning globe? Well as a kid I remember it spinning to the blue empty bit and ever since I wanted to go. 82868

Ice Cream Al sounds a character Dave what Fun it was back then :)
There were quite a few Italian families selling Ice cream in Coventry back in the 1950s/60s

The most famous were the De Di Machio family, you can look them up

Al was one of there managers, he was a bloody quick driver!
