Different head unit on this 2009 QPV?

It's the Bose unit. I have it. And that car has been with that dealer for 12 months odd and dropped 10k. It cannot take the sm upgrade either. :mad:

I saw this old post.
I had already removed the hard drive from the head unit of this car years ago to enable it to boot up. The disc was corrupted
It uses its own disc format and I couldn't recover it. Removing the disc enabled the head unit to boot up.
Some time earlier I had been given a 7K discount by a dealer for taking the car with the broken head unit off their hands. I kept it for a year and sold it on at a profit. The variators were also shot. I don't recall if I changed them or not.
I was unable to find a way of repairing the head unit so that the nav worked.
I have also since seen a 612 with the same issue as the bose head unit was also an option on later 612s.

I would imagine I probably still have the disc about somewhere. I think it was an IDE 2.5 inch from memory in a little slot.
