Differences between MC Stradale and MC Stradale Cetennial Edition

Morning guys,

Apart from a fancier paint job and unique colours, slightly different seat (and wheel) colour scheme, is there any other significant difference between the ‘standard’ Stradale and the Cetennial Edition?

What was the price difference between the 2 when new, and how much more would you actually pay to have the Cetennial edition?

The seats do look good on the Cetennial edition (can’t say the same about the wheels), but I actually prefer the seats with Alcantara insert (softer to sit on?)

Your view?

I believe it was purely a styling exercise as you point out.

I don't think there were any engineering differences between the standard model.

Some extra carbon fibre and some expensive pearl paint jobs.

Of course, with anything limited edition and Italian they generally become sort after and depreciate less.

They were a return to the MC shift box but don't think they even had Carbon Ceramic brakes so the 4 seat Stradale is actually the better performance model.

They did have ceramics if they were Stradales; but there were 400 Centennial Edition GT Sports which didn’t.

All down to personal taste...For me the standard interior is nicer with alcantara. Never a fan of the centennial leather but as said its personal taste. They did some lovely colours on the centennial though especially the red and petra. I personally wouldn't pay extra for one but as Matt has said limited editions do normally tend to hold their value better.

Couldn’t agree more on that. Love the triple layer grigio The triple layer Grigio Pietra colour, but not a fan of these wheels with red/blue accents, and prefer the use of Alcantara on the normal Stradale.

So probably not worth the premium given the identical mechanical set up then.

Totally agree with the Alcantara inserts in the seats. My 4rse sweats too much on leather :p:p:p

There is a private sale one saying it’s the same colour but it isn’t. It looks like Lava which was also a triple coat colour.

Take the red bits off, put the alcantara back in (especially on doors, dash etc) and it would look about right.......... ;)

The red flashes on the wheels for me was an odd edition. You could have red, blue or white. All a bit Max power for me. Prefer the later wheels on the pietra one in the grey if I was going for one.

The amazing colours you can get on the MC Stradale Centennial Edition, make it a great choice. This Blue one forsale is my favourite one, just absolutely stunning. Nice change from the boring white and blacks. This one is a good price if you get the VAT back.

Yes, this is a truly lovely blue but I personally don't like the interior colour (or lack of alcantara) nor the blue accents on the wheels, but's all down to the individual of course

I prefer the normal Strad to the Centennial. And I prefer the 2 seat version over the 4 seat. So for me, when it comes to choosing a Strad, the earlier the better. But hey, there’s no “bad” Strad.

Centennial isn't really any different from a standard car. It's just paint and trim. Some very lovely colours and some dubious wheels colour flashes and interior leather. If I was looking for a 4 seater I wouldn't pay a premium for a centennial as for me it's not different enough and I also prefer the alcantara in the standard car. But at the right price they do look lovely in that blue and red.

Why is there such fascintion with Alcantara here? You guys do know it's plastic right? Well, two plastics but who's counting. Why would you choose it over the gorgeous leather interior in the example above?

Oh I don't know, maybe because it is nicer to sit in, feels better than leather and is more durable... ;)

I prefer the full high quality leather interior in the above example. Anyway there's enough Alcantara on the headliner. When Alcantara starts to look worn out it looks terrible. The leather you can always restore and is a better material. 80k euros without VAT for the blue one is a nice price on that blue Centennial.

You forgot to add "in your opinion". There, done it for you

Had it once in my Lancia and it's okay. Feel is subjective and durability is debatable. It's plastic yet is considered a premium product. Damnant quod non intelligunt.
