I learnt something new when Zep came up to help with my new brakes... if you move the car in 1st or reverse with the door open, or not closed properly, it will shift back to neutral.

Might be worth adding to an idiots guide.

Which version are you using? Assuming EasyMas won't be available anytime soon feedback from a trusted source would be useful.
I have the X431 Pros Mini and not tried on a Maserati here in France but it works with everything so far exceptionally well.

Agreed. Using the Pros Mini as well.

I actually installed the app on my regular cell phone now and ditched the tablet. Your license seems to follow the dongle itself.

That way I always have it with me..

Hello
Owner of a very late 2005 (Year Model 2006) 4200 Cambiocorsa coupe, I would like to buy a genuine "Launch X431 Pro(s) Mini".

But where to buy a "Launch X431 Pro(s) Mini"? They are for sale on Amazon, on eBay, and various websites but not from the official Launch sites in Europe.

I discovered that there is indeed a real X431 PRO MINI model produced by the real Launch, but that it is not marketed in Europe. Their distribution in Europe is done by (or via) Launch Germany. I couldn't find any trace of the LAUNCH X431 PRO MINI on their website or on their affiliates' websites - logical, they don't sell it.

You can buy an X431 PRO S from Launch in Europe but it costs twice as much and we don't know if it would work the same for our Maseratis.

I also learned that the X431 PRO MINI model is made for the Asian market.

What I didn't find is a X431 PRO MINI seller with a physical address in Europe. All online listings (whether eBay or Amazon or on the various websites, and this in several countries) would appear to be shipped from China - with "86-" phone numbers.

How can you be sure (1) that it is a real Launch and, whilst I'm asking, (2) that it is a 2020 model?

Who bought one recently, please? And where?

Many thanks
Tony

PS I live in SW France but I don't mind buying in any country.

I started putting together some information on the theory and basic diagnosing of the F1 system for some of the most common fault. I expect this to be a somewhat living document as I add more. If theres specific areas/failures youd like me to cover in more detail please let me know as well!

Thanks for taking time to write up these articles. I printed the gearbox oil change guide which was really good. The guys at the garage who actually did the work even asked to keep a copy. Glad I left it to them as it was a five hour job.
When I get my car lift I can tackle that job. on my back under the car for double that time is not worth the grief.

I also learned that the X432 PRO MINI model is made for the Asian market.

What I didn't find is a X431 PRO MINI seller with a physical address in Europe. All online listings (whether eBay or Amazon or on the various websites, and this in several countries) would appear to be shipped from China - with "86-" phone numbers.

I am providing a link to the Amazon ad for the 2021 update. I recently bought the 2020 version via Amazon and it is the genuine article. It came with directions for registration and downloading the latest updates. If it were not genuine the Launch site would not permit registration.

I have the X431 Pros Mini here in the Mayenne 53350 can't fault it not tried on a Maserati but have played with it on my Jaguar and Porsche.
Jaguar in Rennes did a health check on my car as I bought it with a pedestrian sensor fault.
Couldn't communicate with my Autel which cost more than the Launch and all sorted the Dealer wanted €700.
It's paid for itself straight away.
I have updated a couple of times no problems and will buy another in 2 years rather than pay almost the same for updates.

Thanks to all for your replies.

>> "RJ237" Many thanks, that's particularly helpful and reassuring. However if I could find an equally good supplier in Europe it would avoid the $200 shipping / customs charge, hence my next paragraph.

>> "Philw696" Many thanks also! Please could you tell me where you bought your one - and if Amazon or eBay name the supplier so that I can identify which one it is.

Thanks again,
Tony

Hello Phil,
Thank you very much indeed!

I've just crossed all my fingers and toes and ordered one right away. Payment was by PayPal, which is reassuring. Cost was £546 with free shipping from the UK. I'm hoping that it will indeed be shipped from the UK so that there's no issues with import duty. (Still pre-Brexit that is - I'm buying lots of things from the UK at present, before the s**t hits the fan...). That's about $732, so a bit cheaper than the one on Amazon USA and no $200 shipping and customs charge.

I'll let you all know how I get on, promise.
Cheers

Maybe bring it along to the next forum meet? You might recoup some investment by reading the palm of nervous trident owners harbouring fault codes. Can I go first please?

Don't know anything about forum meets, but assuming they are in the UK (?) that's unlikely to happen, sorry.

Most often they are . Guessing you are in the land of Pineau (de Charentes)? There might be the odd trip to continental Europe by members of this parish.
