For anyone looking for a Detailer in the South East I have just had my 4200 detailed by Steve who is based in Sevenoaks. He came to SW London and spent 8 hours working on my car. Massive difference between the dull, lifeless paintwork before and the now gleaming, totally different, look. What I can't get over is how smooth the paintwork is - found myself stroking it constantly!!! Now that is worrying! He charged a very reasonable £200, would have been £250 with Swissvax products. He did my previous car with great results but the Maserati looks even better.

Now going to leave it in the garage as I don't want it to get dirty!

I didn't take any before pictures so these are after only!

The car is 2003 and the paintwork was looking really flat and 'cloudy'.

Took it out twice today and wiped it down both times before putting it into the garage - neighbours must have been thinking sad b*****d! But I don't care!

Challenge is now to keep it like that. Even though my garage roof is lined there is still a layer of dust on it after a couple of days. I don't need a tailored, waterproof cover but could do with a large sheet or similar. Any ideas? B & Q dust sheets are big enough but they drop bits of material.

There's a car cover being discussed on here...if you want to pay £400!!!!!!! I always worry about car covers and dust under then scratching. My advice would be spend money and get a good one. Plenty on here have them and I'm sure will be along with a few recommendations.

Whilst we are on the topic, anyone can recommend a good detailer in the Birmingham area...my mate has a classic 900 convertible ( sad I know...;)...) that needs a little TLC......actually rather a lot of TLC!

Thanks for your comments Paul and im glad you were happy with the results. What a stunning car, most of the time spent on the car was talking to the various people who kept coming up and looking round it. Just to add, i am a Tottenham Fan lol
