Thanks guys. If this whole episode has taught me one thing - it's that often first gut instincts are right. And I am still yet to be convinced anything pound for pound is anywhere near the GTs.
I am certianly regretting not having it in this weather!
It's been invaluable being on the forum to get opinions and thoughts from a wide range of experienced car nuts. And
Maserati owners certainly stand apart.
Surely a group of like minded guys need to get together and organise a super car club to rotate ownership for those who want a change every so often. Could be a business idea for Dan!

I'm not surprised you are gutted it's gone :( Stunning mate and makes me love mine ever more. They are a great car and as you say nothing comes close at the price point.

your car looks stunning Ian, good luck with the sale. I'd buy it in a flash!

but once you have the itch to change, best go for it!

personally, I still feel little brand loyalty to Maserati, I would describe my loyalty to beautiful, fast, contemporary cars more than anything - not a brand, more an ethos, and I am already projecting my next car will be a F or a Maca.

you can always come back later and buy a nice stradale ;) best of luck

Race cars mate so you know when the wheels are straight (dead centre), much more useful on a drift car than a road car :D
Much more useful on a drift car I'd agree. Never had an issue with a road car when I've had issues finding the straight ahead position or thinking....you know I could do with a stripe on my steering wheel.

Interesting how your car has a GTS badge on the back. Is that something you added? Never seen that before.

You added all the alcantara? To the interior as well didn't you?

Yes- all added plus the Wheel. There was a lot of alcantara already in there- seats, and full headlining and pillars. I just added matching alcantara to door cards, drivers hood, centre console and dash (upper and lower).

Even in standard form the MC shifts are bloody fantastic as we all agree- bit with this personalisation it was just a very special place to be.

I miss it already and I feel a traitor to the brand. I reckon if I lived closer to Phil it would be going nowhere!

Nothing would sound like yours for within about 250k!

I think stradales look awesome- simply the best maserati have to offer. If I was a millionaire it would be a must have in the garage. I just fancy a drop top now. I have always had one and miss that option

A Cali T would be my suggestion as it's the spiritual successor of the 4200. No offence, but the GranCab is a Lardy, impractical tub that doesn't relate to the 4200 (apart from the badge).

They do look good, but the pricing is still pretty steep on the T. Give it a year / 18 months, maybe?
