I avoid the need for heated seats by intentionally pissing myself.
Tried this but just re froze, then there's the problem of what to do with the bag when you've finished.
Quicker to use a scraper.
If the issue is the time it takes in the morning to de-ice, spray the screen with a mixture of IPA and water after the ice has formed in the evening.
I also like the idea of the hot water bottle on the dash.
Seems like waste of beer, frankly....

Not that sort of IPA, but it might be worth a try
Drink it. Warm it through. Pour liberally over frozen items.
You seem worriedly obsessed this morning, senor

Oh dear!...............try not to tan the train seat!!Too much coffee and it's a very jiggle train ride.
I'm not a huge fan, but I think they may be growing on me. You could get cooling ones on the XF as well, but mine doesn't.

I just use boiling water. Granted that's just on the family wagons so I'm a little less precious. Always have in the 14 years I've been driving though.
I am a fan of copious amounts of warm water - out onto the drive, start the car, on with heated screens / seats / steering wheel then nip in to the house to fill a watering can and use the whole lot to clear the car. Been doing it for years and found it to be the best way.

I love heated seats.
Absolutely....
Id never buy a car based on door cards but heated seats are a thing...!
Warm / tepid water is what I use - not boilingBoiling water seems risky. Actually, except on very frosty mornings, cold water works fine.

What about one of these? Ok you still have to scrape the side windows and yes the very early ones were the recall for Vauxhall 10 years ago but the design was changed apparently.Morning all,
I spent a fun-filled, freezing, 10 mins this morning trying to de-ice my car before I drove to the station. In the end it was barely passable, and still felt a bit like I was driving blind.
So, what do you use to de-ice your cars....
Any links to top products, or tips on technique would be welcomed!

I'll ask the person sat next to me on the train. "Excuse me, I'm quite chilly..."
