Here is my meet and greet experience - never again

What was the outcome?

Always pay to park at the airport, in the multi-storey covered if possible, ever since by mates dads Jag was used as a taxi while he was on holiday.
Yes, my dashcam was disconnected by the BMW technicians at last service.

Until I provided the dash cam footage they were very evasive by once they saw it they paid in full for the repairs to my car.

Glitzy website, airport recommended, uniformed staff - but as dodgy as you can get once I got behind the scenes.

As I say, never again.

Just a quick update. Had the Thinkware F770 fitted at Joe Macari on Saturday morning, and they did an excellent job as always.
As was said before, the driver alert functions are of dubious value, however the speed camera function is very useful and can identify direction of travel so only warns of cameras on your side of the road.
Initially there seemed to be no audio recording but I think that now seems to be working.
Instal picture included.

Have to say I’ve used the meet n greet at Manchester a fair few times. I always photo mileage etc, but last time I used it, you park in a bay, and a camera system videos your car, and I always try to get there on fuel light....

I'd never use a third party meet and greet airport parking company after reading some horror stories. A third party at a previous airport I worked at just used empty fields. No photos of the car were taken and weren't much cheaper than the official car park.

On another note, a colleague at work had an accident. His dash cam showed him doing 55 in a 50 but it was obvious who was at fault. He got a quick payout including physio etc etc.
I saw the footage and he could have avoided it if he anticipated the idiot pulling an illegal u-turn but the insurance paid up. The dashcam even recorded my colleague's initial greeting of ' what the f###, you doing?'. The other driver was out cold, after being t-boned... Lol

I've used one at Manchester a couple of times as well without problems. I photographed the mileage and it had about 15 extra miles on it which seemed OK.
