Damaged sump 156

Travelling today on the motorway and something hit the underneath of the car - a very loud thud. A few miles later low oil pressure so pulled over and checked oil pouring out - so it has been towed to a garage -
is it possible to get a replacement - it is a 2003 car- if so can anyone provide places where to source one.

Not sure yet of the actual damage - just want to know what the options are and price if worse case.

Thanks
Karen

Important to have the right partnumber first. I remember there are 2 versions… the difference is in the space for the oil-pickup, hardly visible (until you try fitting it)

Hopefully no other damage just glad it wasn't the other car - will check out ebay, once we've found the right part number thanks

Just revisiting this to see if anyone can provide any further options.

The sump was repaired and put in our garage over summer - on getting it out a couple of weeks ago the floor had a large pool of oil - so its not fixed, not seen yet where its coming from as the garage is tight to get under the
car or jack it up.

Have tried the places that come up searches etc plus the one mentioned above and Duncan Slade has exhausted the ones on Ebay - they are all for a different model.

I know its a long shot as it is a 2003 car and the parts are no longer available at Alfa but any other suggestions welcome.

Thanks
Karen

A friend with a Caterham cracked his sump earlier this year.
Cast aluminium and apparently damaged so bad can not be repaired.
Caterham can't help, rare vauxhall twin cam of over 20 years ago and especially cast for the fitment to the car at the time.
He's looking at getting a copy cast around £800.
I'm sure in your case there must be a scrapper somewhere though.

Duncan has tried scrap yards with no luck at the moment no one seems to have the right variant

Are they still going? We have one of their 20th anniversary mugs, which is over 20 years old!
