Had my XF oil burner now for best part of 10 years. 130k on clock. Really good car. Few bits starting to show age.

Main issues have been Manifolds needed doing due to known cracking issue and the dreaded "restricted power" warnings.

Rear bushes needed doing, but other than that, just normal disks and pads etc.

Seriously good car and looks good still compared to others on road even though is an ageing model.

Brake Pads Low is the only one I have coming up. Was going to throw it a F1 to see if they actually are low....

I’d buy a 320d or 520d. If i was feeling cool, i’d Have a d3 Alpina.

You can’t much miles any better IMHO.

I have a 2013 Mercedes C250 CDI as my daily drive. I have had it for 18 months and driven 25k miles in her...Never missed a beT in that time... I have mostly had BMW's and this was my first Mercedes as was never really a fan but I wouldn't look back. Build quality and ultra reliable. Being the 220 BHP version it's pretty quick and rather fun in the bends as it's the run out AMG plus model. I do a 40 mile journey to work ....it's all motorway and have seen 70 mpg it I drive like miss daisy .... Car is averaging 58 mpg. I had a Jaguar XE before this as a company car and loved it.,it looked great and was a lovely place to be but it was fragile compared to the Mercedes build quality. I would highly recommend one of these and i think it I changed her it would be for another Mercedes as a daily drive. I would imagine one of these run out models would be in your budget.

I’ve just waved my daily drive of the last 7 years off a few hours ago and feel a little sad about it.
Failed MOT last week on suspension arms it needed 3 and a hub joint or something, about £550 plus a big service. Also developed a very intermittent hesitation, but only happened about 6 times over 400 miles of driving.

I decided after 7 years and 170k together the time had come.

Bought my mates 2007 A4 on 130k just taxed and insured it today.

The Audi isn’t anywhere near as good as the 320d was and that’s even taking into account the 264k that was on the BMW. Still managed to get 850 though so can’t complain.
