Can anyone recommend a repairer that can either mend or replace the motor on my regulator? I bought a new regulator from Veloce last year and had it fitted in May this year. It stopped working so I had it checked by an auto electrician. All the circuits, microswitches and lock etc are ok but the motor is at fault. He puts it down to a Chinese motor failing but I wanted to ask if anyone knows of a reputable repair service. Many thanks.

The window regulators that Veloces supply are aftermarket items for an Alfa Romeo GTV (916), albeit at a vastly marked up price and sold as a replacement for a Maserati 3200/4200.
If you have one fitted already you’ll know that they work quite well but do have certain differences in operation.
If you think the motor of your has gone it will need to come out anyway and by the time you’ve tried to source a replacement motor, you probably may as well just replace the whole regulator. The aftermarket GTV regulators are made by AC Rolcar, you need the later type that has the window dip function for when you open the door. They’re available from places like Alfashop for half the price Veloces sell them for:
