I try to avoid the multi story car parks, as most are designed to ensure you catch a wheel or part of the bodywork on one of the ‘hidden’ traps for any car larger than a bicycle!
However one of the better ones I use is the Sofitel car park by Heathrow Terminal 5.
Until yesterday evening that is. When going up a ramp you have to turn to avoid a curb, but with the car pointing upwards that curb is invisible, until the front of the car went over it. As the picture shows the result - damage to the underside of the bumper moulding and undertray.
So the OCD in me will mean dropping the car at my body shop for repair. I am sure as it’s underneath most would leave it, but nutters like me have to get it fixed.
Anyone knowledgeable on these things care to comment on what’s involved? I am guessing filler on the damaged bumper lip. Can anything be done to improve the tray? I can source a new under tray for about £60 plus VAT. As I say any advice welcome.
Thanks in advance.
