Couldn't agree more.The BMW M6 and BMW M5 look like the cheapest high performance cars on the market with 507 hp from a v10. I would also think they are one of the most desirable bmw with that beautiful v10 engine. Followed a v10 m5 today into the city still sounds and looks good.

In many respects, in the same boat as Maserati V8's. Large engine cars, with high running costs... but I think they're pretty special. I'd go for an M6 or M5 touring for rarity.
If you have the funds to run these cars properly, they're terrific. I often have a look at what Munich Legends have in stock.
Another car in much the same vein is the SL55 AMG, albeit supercharged (friend has the F1 version).
