Crikey if Enzo thought the E-type was beautiful (which it was, especially stunning as a drop top) imagine what he thought of Lamborghini’s sublime Miura...(ooofff and in SV guise, Jesus it was out of this world) I bet he grabbed and told his people why the ****aren’t we building this!!I don’t disagree with you Phil, Jaguar does have a pedigree, I just think Maserati is more rooted in the history of motor sport from inception and has this special aura that Jag has lost over the past 20years producing average at best saloon car for the masses.
Don’t get me wrong they still produced cars I would love to own (pre-70s mainly).
Also - although I respect Enzo tremendously, I politely disagree w his statement... I would put a lot of cars ahead of the etype design; the 300SL Gullwing for starter
As Rockits mentioned I should try a few modern ones and let myself be influenced by how good their actual owners claim they are.
