I've got my TVR Griffith up for sale at the moment after paying top money for a nice example 2 years ago, looked at 7 cars etc. I'm not feeling optimistic, I expect to sell it for less than i bought it for despite spending £7K on mostly unnecessary suspension and engine management upgrades, plus renewing smaller details. There are about 50 for sale and quite a few look over priced. I'm expecting to catch a cold on this one to the tune of at least £10K if by commission sale. I've had my fun with it though and some cars work out well others not.
What frustrates now is that I think the market is definitely cooling but there are plenty of private individuals and dealers who are still asking top dollar. Private individual wise it must hurt to see the value of your "investment" softening, but I can only agree with them and say yes I'm getting the same thing with what I'm selling, I'm going to lose.
The utter joke of the TVR re-launch probably hasn't helped things either.
