Hi all

In the process of turning my face lift coupe in to a GS externally.

Has anyone got any of the following that they are willing to part with?

  • Front bumper lower splitter / spoiler
  • GS side skirts (both sides)
  • Rear lip spoiler carbon / none.

On another note - my coupe came with the grille with the horizontal sills. I have been able to source a mesh sheet with the right pattern- would it be possible to gut the current grille and install the mesh in its place? Has anyone done that?

Cheers

I think a member has a lower splitter that they decided not to fit.

I will let them come forward.

Be aware that it is not a direct swap and needs some fettling to fit and you will be left with holes on the underside... you only see them if you are lying on the floor.

Eurospaes have a few GSs they are braking, but the parts are rare.

Cheers that would be great- I’m aware that they’re not a direct swap but willing to give it a go.

I checked with eurospares but they only have a new one in stock atm.

Join the FB groups you may find something there but considering the size of it I would try to find it within the UK (assuming that is where you are). Call around the other breakers, I have found Greg at Premier Performance Parts helpful but not bought anything from him yet

I wish more people would do a coupe to GS interior upgrade.

@ofenomeno99 if you find a pair of GS front seats along your travels let me know please

Doesn't that get a bit complex around the centre console?

C

If it is a manual 4200 it would get a but complex but I think if it is a CC then a total interior swap including dash and centre console will work 1:1.

Likewise converting a GS into manual will get complicated where the shifter should be and will require custom work

As a last resort, try new model wreckers in australia.

Shipping is more expensive, but they usually have some hard to get parts that would otherwise be sold already by Stu, Eurospares and the other UK/European breakers.

My long term plan for the project will be the GS seats and steering which I think are the main objective positives of the GS interior over the Coupe... but thought that I will start off with the exterior.

There are a couple of GS interiors on eurospares for 2.5 K - colours are not great though. Will let you know if I come across any others.

I know about the ES parts that are available... The problem is I am after seats only and ES will not split a complete interior

E-bay and the FB groups are much better resources than here for used parts. I found my GS wheel on FB, a very nice chap in HK bought 2x GS wheels from a breaker and decided he didn't need two of them so he sold it on for the purchase price. Including shipping I paid £430 which was a bargain as they go for at least double in the western hemisphere. So get creative try breakers in ANZ, HK/China and the Middle East where there is not such a captive market for rare used parts and breakers who do not "bank" such parts (see the price of 4200 classico grilles as an example)

The other option is to buy a used 4200 wheel and get it customised for around £600 all in you could get something nice made to your taste - incidentally I have a spare one in my garage! Lol

Thought you were getting the splitter fitted the other day Stu?
Was going to James but then Covid struck again so couldn't get the car (legally) over to Warrington to get it fitted (as much as I tried to convince myself it was essential) and now the car is SORN for the winter!! How long has it been since I bought it from you?? :(
