Coupe prices - what's happening?

It should really not bother me as much as it does, but this is surely the longest advertised car on Autotrader now, 7 years this month.

Edit, tried to check but I've got bored of trying to scroll through 454,131 cars.

Remember going to look at that, strange setup and strange asking price for a car with incomplete service history and that has not done mileage in years. The guy had a few other cars like corvettes. To be honest I went as I was passing and wanted to look at a few cars to get a feel for it.

Wow! That's as long as I've owned mine. Surely at some point you either keep it, or go fire sale and cut the cost to the point that someone will take it, or store it and hope it appreciates I suppose.
The Motorwatch plugin only goes to 2022, but also shows it's always been £21,950.
The description clearly shows it's been up for that time though, full service history and 11 stamps, only takes it to 2017.
"Recently Had a Major Service Inc Plugs by Maserati Specialist" - recently is doing a lot of heavy lifting there!

Routine costs for Maserati ownership...
- Insurance
- Tax
- Fuel
- Servicing

NEC today Harry Metcalf's Jaguar XJC V12 guide price £60 to £80 K made a £140,000 at Auction.
Was there at the auction.
Not normal prices, most never made near their estimates in general.
I was also disappointed at his XJC up close.
Yes he spent a good wedge on the metallic paint job, but everything else was just bolted back on!
The chrome work was poor, tarnished, with metal rubbing marking showing through. Also details like old dried out crusty rubber gaskets under the wiper spindles again the new paint job. You get the idea. Complete lack of the finer details. Not worth the money and it wasnt a bare shell restoration either.
Espade looked nice however and in my view should have been worth much more than the Jag.
His Landy was also a heap, which he admitted, but again fetched silly money.
He went home a very happy boy for sure!

Harry must be delighted - probably expected about £200k from those three, but walked away with £300k. Lucky boy. Plus the money he earned from them on his YT channel.
The Espada was in good nick, with a lot spent on it. But non-original colour and aftermarket sunroof that spoilt the roof line killed it for me.
Good job I bought an alternative classic Lambo last week instead (all to revealed in due course).

Jarama?

No. Did try to buy that barn find Jarama a fortnight back. But the restoration required was at least £150k (and I took and sent detailed pics to the the top 4 Lambo restoration companies in the UK and Italy), so even getting vaguely close to parity/value proved impossible.
It was a 9 hour round trip to view that car, just to find that the owner was a fantasist when it came to the true value of what he has. Such is life.
