On the Centennial Trip a Frenchie bought a UK car simply because it was cheaper to buy. Having driven RHD in Europe and LHD in the UK, it's a pain , especially when overtaking...

I'm glad I cashed mine in when I did... that said my 440i seems to have depreciated by £20k in just over 2 years which makes me conclude that the market is broken.

Looks like Giallo have made a significant price drop on their MC Victory, which has been on the market for quite a while ... Any takers? If not, I have a very good 3200 for sale at a fraction of the price! LOL ...
They’ve reduced it again! Now down to £28,995. Very tempting.

That does look nice and as Ewan says much cheaper than they use to be, I quite like the black a bit different to the normal blue ones you see occasionally

Found it.

As you say, very tempting. These were £60k only about 3 years ago. Though it would be worth a bit more if in Victory Blu and with lower mileage.
Its on Autotrader aswell. Agreed it would be even more tempting in blue, but still....

Is this the bottom of the curve?

At that price I wonder if it’s now making some standard Gransports look overpriced? Or maybe the performlance differential / rarity of the MC was way overpriced in the first place? … I think that blue one is still on the market for around £40k and hasn‘t shifted for over a year, or so it seems. Here it is: https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1558486
At least this shows it’s not just my 3200 that won’t sell for love nor money! :)

This is my car. I have actually only just listed it again as I thought Giallo had sold their MC-V as it disappeared from their website.

I think we have not seen yet the bottom line.
We have seen grand sport at 12k for sale. We have seen 3200 at 3 k. Mc could go down to 18/20?
Yes I agree. I’ve been watching prices - not just Maserati prices - fall and keep falling for quite a while. Just this morning I’ve been notified of price drops on cars I’m watching. It’s a very disappointing market if you’re trying to sell. But then, why worry if everything else is moving down(?) You transfer your loss into either a negotiated discount or a market correction on another car … At least that’s what the Man Maths says!

Hard to compare the MCV to the standard GS in terms of price, mainly due to the rarity. They really are special, not only in how they drive, but even just to sit in.

A few years ago, a really good and low mileage GS might have been £30k from Dicky G, while an equivalent MCV could have been double that.

Now, a similarly good GS from Dicky would be what, £20k tops? And the equivalent MCV would start with a 4, I would think.

So maybe the MCV being double the GS is a good enough rough price guide.

Both could go down or up over the years ahead. But with the economy in trouble, I suspect the MCV will to continue to fall over the short term, whereas the standard GS I believe is such good value now as to have bottomed out. Just my hunch.
