I used to spend hours doing keepie uppies in the garden. Very useful I find now....not

Used to do about 100 when I was 10 and 1000 at circa 13/14 years old. It was easier to count time rather than number if kicks up then. I reckon I could easily do 100 now but not sure about a 1000. Here's 10

The spending is just getting stupid now..

How much did I not need the little pot of salt with the sombrero.

Bought a football, for a kick about with Mrs MLC and seeing if I can get up to 100 at keepie-uppie. Hopefully, by the end of this month I'll be turning out for Chilworth City. (they recently signed the Invisible Striker from fulchester)

One thing I was always half decent at was kick ups. Even beat Clive Allen at them when there was competition at a holiday camp I went to on holiday as a kid.

He did 70 - odd they told me to stop when I went over 400! :D I have the certificate in my parents loft somewhere!

Are those the last of the new toilets that actually flush?
P
YES!
I bought this stupidly expensive door knocker dating from the early 1900's from an antiques shop. We live in a Victorian house, our front door had been updated (read "destroyed") in the 1970's, we designed and replaced the stained glass, dipped it etc. The Lion door knocker was the final piece. I got it home and realised it was slightly warped, stupidly complicated for a door knocker to fit (it has multiple "spurs" that go into the door).

So, it lived in a drawer for 6 years...until Friday when I eventually fitted it.

I've now fitted it, took ages, and trying to convince myself I can't see it's wonky-ness.

After that description I need to see a picture of a Victorian door with a wonky knocker, sounds wonderful

One of my bugbears , how is it saving water if it takes 3 flushes to dispose of a king kong's finger

LOL.....I'm not a big fan of theirs either. Starting to get silly the number now. When you start talking possibly £1m per week it is too much surely. How does that make sense to anyone?

I was actually surprised when someone on here mentioned that figure the other week. I was surprised that no one has quite reached that level. It’s £52m a year. Isn’t Lewis Hamilton paid that much?

Agreed Dean. The game HAS gone crazy money wise. Still love footy though although my team is only League One level so these numbers are from another universe.

It’s disgusting, especially as it’s all mostly paid for by refinancing debt.....
Anyway, back to the thread....I thought we may save some money, but my Argos delivery of tools and naked wines is somewhere near £500 and it’s only the 10th of the month......
And my wife has developed a liking for all things Angel Strawbridge......
Apparently there is curtains and wall paper on the way, and soft furnishings.....of which I’m not allowed to know the value......

Even if virtually nothing is spent going out, I don’t know about net savings... I have spent a **** load on house improvement stuff - including over 70 Philips Hue smart bulb and the whole smart system that goes with it. I had an electrician redo the garden lights, and order a lot of meaningless stuff online.
i find that I browse on amazon a lot more these days !

Does she ask you how much it costs to maintain the cars?? If she doesn’t, she’s a keeper I reckon.
