Cost of living during Lockdown

Are you finding that the more time you spend at home, the more jobs and changes you realise you want to do to it? I've got an elaborate dangly lighting thing in my John Lewis basket.

YES!
I bought this stupidly expensive door knocker dating from the early 1900's from an antiques shop. We live in a Victorian house, our front door had been updated (read "destroyed") in the 1970's, we designed and replaced the stained glass, dipped it etc. The Lion door knocker was the final piece. I got it home and realised it was slightly warped, stupidly complicated for a door knocker to fit (it has multiple "spurs" that go into the door).

So, it lived in a drawer for 6 years...until Friday when I eventually fitted it.

I've now fitted it, took ages, and trying to convince myself I can't see it's wonky-ness.

Good job! My house is very old, so any wonkiness is generally the house. The things I fit to it are always 0 degs on the wonk. The house they are fitted to is a different story.

Madness for me. Bought a Thomas Crapper suite for my downstairs toilet and a couple of TAG Heuer watches! Need the pubs to open so I can get back to normality.

Are those the last of the new toilets that actually flush?

Not the city centre ones near our work places.

Are you still in central London? What's the parking like ATM? I'm heading in on Friday to donate blood and get re-tested for platelets. Was intending to drive in.

My biggest bills are still coming in, only my smaller ones are gone. Insurances for the cars and house, house general expenses, taxes, rates, electric, heating, oil.
Also my income is state pension and rental income from a house which the tenant has pretty much stopped paying and savings which produces bugger all now anyway.
