Cooky Sat Nav or user error - 4200 Coupe

Mmmm half the time I drive my 05 4200 Coupe I can't get the Sat Nav to pick up the location I'm driving too. The only time I'm sure when it's working is when it allows you me click on "enter" under the Destination menu it then comes up with calculate route to new destination and when you say yes tells me the distance time and starts the route.

Problem is either entering a new destination or using one from the last destinations more often that not it won't offer me this option. The only other option I can see is to click yes on the map location and as it will only offer me replace or delete then cycle back using "ESC" and click locate. Sometimes it does seem to find the location and start other times not, many times I'm just not sure where it's taking me too.

So I kind of assume it's user error but can't make head nor tail of the manual. Has anyone got any advice ?

Thanks in advance all

Hi Gibleticous, The satnav is pretty cooky at the best of times, but it sounds like the memory if full. Under these circumstances you have to delete a previously calculated route to make way for the new one. Try clearing, or transferring some of your regulars to your address book.

Great thanks I'll try that. So to be sure transfer some of the last destinations to the address book, right ?

Cheers

Doesn't have to be the last ones, just the one's you use regularly. Discard the rest. It's a pretty small memory, so it needs a regular clear-out, otherwise your forever having to over-right old ones.

Many thanks
