I went to one of their "market research" days last year, was a very strange experience where I was interrogated in a room with one way glass (like in a police interview room) and the whole process was filmed. I was candid and brutally honest about my feelings for the brand and loved getting it all off my chest plus I got an envelope with £100 in it to take home.

I'd do another in a heartbeat :D

I have done two such days with Jaguar over the years when they were speaking to owners of the the recently launched XJ 351 - it felt good getting off my chest - since then I have bought two replacement and the same things still wind me up - what a mug I am

Literally had two missed calls from Magenta Italy and traced the number to be from Maserati Italy.

Raging I would have liked to chat about getting a free extended test drive

I have a missed call on my mobile from Maserati (Italy) today. I'd love to talk to them but I'm just recovering from the lurgy so probably not the best time. It's the first time they've ever called me, and it does seem that they are making some effort now; that has to be good news imho.

I had the call today. All pretty basic stuff. Then got an email inviting me to make changes to my details but they did not send a code. Massive fail lol

Sounds like they're gearing up their after sales to get bums on seats with the replacement coming soon!

I personally feel Maserati should take a leaf out of Ferrari's book with the '7 year free servicing', perhaps 3-4 years is sufficient for a Maserati.

Ferrari don't do seven years free servicing, they just rolled it into the price on product updates a few years back. I think it is a brilliant thing mind - McLaren should try it - but the customer is still paying.

I think the likely reality is they just realised they have massive GDPR issues looming if they don't get their contact database in order :)
