Is that actually right or said in jest ? I’ll describe the car later but it was weird as ****.

Nurse fitness levels are disappointing apart from the one stood a meter from my bed right now lol
Of course everyone is wearing masks anyway !!

Slightly in jest. But if you’ve got issues, especially warning lights/electrical, disconnecting the battery for an hour or so does seem to fix a fair few things on Maseratis. The other one that causes weird **** is a low/failing battery

I tried the disconnect for a couple hours but never worked so went for longer, which has turned into two weeks because of the covid lol

Not a single clue where I got this from. Sunday 22nd I was playing footy with my two boys, had Sunday dinner and laid on sofa, next thing I’m shivering and temp over 38. My highest temp was 40.6

My advice is please take this seriously, you don’t want this, you don’t want it at home and you don’t want it in hospital. If you get to my level you will get pneumonia and that’s a 6 month recovery irrespective of shifting the covid
Wow, I dunno what to say Ryan apart from stay strong, rest and get well soon. I hope your family remain well too as you eluded to your boys.
I think everyone was under the “peddled” misunderstanding that this was an older or “existing condition” is more serious condition.
It clearly isn’t. Can I say that by keeping fit and active it’s possibly served you very well.
Speedy recovery, keep posting.
Thanks for sharing, best Wattie

You never know. Fingers crossed when you’re out it might have sorted itself.

Confirms what I have heard from others if you get it bad it can go really bad, sounds like your on the mend although it will take time to get over it all completely - same with Pauls wife certainly moving in the right direction but months not weeks until she is cleared of all the knock on effects.

Good to hear from you m8. Even better to hear your recovery story, still shocking with your background how hard it’s hit you and the long recovery road. May it fly by.
A question or 2;
Sounds like you were living with family with symptoms for a few days before admission. They all ok? (Hope so, obvs)
Were they able to get tested?
Are they now able to visit you?

Well folks

I’m 12 days in, confirmed covid 19. Have been in hospital since Tuesday.

Today is the perkiest I’ve been but I’m still a lifetime away from being back to normal.
I have significant bilateral pneumonia and so have a very long recovery ahead of me.

Not interested in sympathy, I’m getting overloaded with that lol

Happy to answer any questions on the whole experience though.

I will say it is a pretty terrifying thing at the more serious level. Never in a million years did I expect I’d get hit with it.

As an aside before I came in I had some GTS issues, so she’s sat off the battery just now, fingers crossed when I’m back home she starts up.

Good health to all
Ryan- so sorry to hear this. It’s terrible. Did you get it at work? Ortho? Did you have PPE. I hope you are getting support. Hopefully the GTs not starting will be the worst of your worries from here on in...

I'm sorry to hear that, Ryan. It sounds traumatic. It's terrifying how many people have the same issue. Hopefully the battery reset will do the trick.

More seriously, **** ! Sorry to hear it. It just goes to show how indiscriminate this filthy bloody bat disease is. I'm very happy to hear that you're on the mend, though, and hope your full recovery is speedy and smooth.

Get well, fella, and stay that way.

Scaf if you can get the thing working it’s all yours lol.

Right now when I try to start her I hear a buzzing, everyone goes scatty but no mechanical sound of starter motor.
you don’t hear the priming noise or whatever you call it for that first 10 seconds.

Then after attempting to start if I take the key out the Rev counter every few minutes the needle flickers at a really quick frequency covering about 5 MM if that makes sense. That only stops when I disconnect the battery.

When I reconnect the battery everything seems normal until I attempt to start her again

Wife and two boys 7 and 4. For the first 6 days I was still all over the house but being careful, after that I was In bed and we restricted the boys to seeing me from the door.
The wife was in our bed until the weekend.
Luckily non are showing any symptoms yet which seems a bit of a miracle

Testing is still difficult, they won’t be and I only did because I came into hospital. The swab is painful, think of sticking something so far up your nostril till it touches your brain, it’s that bad.

As for visiting, not happening. This hospital and I’m sure all of them are on complete lockdown. Even if you aren’t in here for covid all visiting is stopped with the exception of parents of children.
There is plastic sheeting covering doors, corridors etc. It really is like something from a film

If you need me to pop in on my way to/from work and put it on a conditioner, give me a shout.
Happy to take it for a spin too...
Get well soon mate.
Hope you’re home soon.....

Thanks Dave but I’m confident this isn’t the battery. This needs serious car medical attention.
