Good news, Jonny-boy is home! We celebrated with a very nice bottle of ‘86 Dom and then some 20 year old red wine.... He’s lost 20lbs, gets out of breath quickly, but he is so much better now. The virus has affected his lungs and interestingly, his liver took a beating, but it rapidly improved during his 13-night hospitalisation. He had 3 covid tests, all negative but they could see from the chest X-rays that he had the covid damage “signature” of lesions in the lungs. It’s odd being married to a skinny bloke with no beer belly!
I spotted on another thread about blood pressure that someone has white coat syndrome. Jon also used to have it, but, following full immersion therapy in acute care, he now records a normal blood pressure and resting heart rate. His bp is 110/70 and heart rate about 60 normally. When he had white coat syndrome, he’d get to bp 160/120 and resting heart rate 120 plus! So, when he got into A&E on Good Friday, they thought he was about to have a heart attack.
So there’s a positive result from the covid experience.

That's great news Helen. Hope Jon makes a full recovery and he doesn't have any long term liver or lung damage!

You ought to get checked too, though if the tests not reliable, it's all a bit worrying.

So glad to be reading about Members defeating Covid... reckon I had a mild touch about 4 weeks ago but then I live in London where we always like to be first into new things...

Found my battery died on me last week. Recharged and for good luck thought I'd better take it down the the M4 for an extra zap. Almost empty motorway and then I see a Jag F-Type... He seems to think he owns a sportscar. No mate THIS is a sportscar!!
