seconded and the same happened to me. It's the broken up shoe pieces you can hear rattling aroundIt’ll be the hand brake shoes. Mine did the same click click noise... AV engineering new instantly it was hand brake shoes.

well not to scare the OP, but what happened to my car was that the EPB didn't disengage properly, so not only did the shoes come out in pieces but they were pulled up over the hubs and cracked them. Entire new rear assembly required. This is the moral of the 'don't leave your EPB on in wet months, but also exercise it from time to time' story, serious damage can occur. Handbrakes are one of the weak points on these carsOr broken up adjuster mechanism
So did mine.. no issues but had the clicking sound none the less.EPB behaves perfectly...once I sort this, I'll let you know what it was
