A few of mine from yesterday.... aside from the wonderful exotica I was really chuffed to see the 'Sweeney' Mk1 Consul GT after its prolonged restoration, I last saw it going round Hammersmith Broadway festooned with scaffolding and camera gear in 1975, it was bought by the current owner in 1988...

I've just got back from the show, been going for years but I'm sure it's getting bigger!
The worrying thing is when I think back to when I first went. A lot of the cars on display today where current cars you could buy new. It makes me think what cars filled the show back in the 80's that are not as popular today/no longer.

Biggest classic car show in Europe now I think. Never been yet but maybe next year then.

Not sure what happened with those thumbnail pics of the Mangusta, they should've appeared as full images - a stunning piece of kit all round. Saw one down in the Cotswolds last year in Winchcombe, the V8 sound echoing off the walls down a very narrow street - sublime! Always loved the looks, from the back it looks like something straight out of Gerry Anderson's 'UFO', a trait which applies to several cars which have long been favourites of mine, including the Lotus Europa S2, Citroen SM etc...

More from Friday... for the first time in years I came away not having spent anything, aside from a pasty and a brew, I usually come back with an armful of old car books, often a couple of hundred quid's worth, but as my Mrs quite rightly reminded me, every penny not spent this year goes into my 'next car purchase' kitty....

He has some stunning cars but the prices are a bit on the heavy side
