Sorry, @Bebs

I was a sailor...and the lifestyle supports drinking and squandering your pay any time you hit land. Or at least it did for me, and I thought I was participating in a time-honored tradition. Plus, generally poor impulse control and lawd knows how many other flaws.

Hence the life of sobriety I now lead...but it's for my own good, and the good of others. Right?

Right?

Sigh.

If it was more than a day, you have skills I don't!

Also...wasn't 2001 the turn of the millenium? (Pedants, assemble!)

OK it was more than a day. And yes, we rented a gite for Christmas 2000 > NYE 2001 because we can count. Sadly the port came back to the UK with us because a couple of us were recovering from full on shellfish poisoning. The port lasted until Feburary.

Got non smoking guests unfortunately, waiting for me to drink them under the table.. so I can have a cigar!
When I used to have non-smoking guests, I would always offer to set them on fire. Just the kind of thoughtful host I am...

I only smoke Cubans. I don’t mean that to sound the wrong way, but in my opinion, nothing comes even close. You’re relatively new on the forum so perhaps don’t know my background of smoking. Here’s Fidel signing a box for me.

I didn't take that wrong. I completely agree. Think closest I ever got was a Davidoff Churchill. Maybe. And when I could get my hands on them (when I DID smoke)...always my preference.

I did not know...thanks for sharing! That's awesome.
