Cigars

I used to smoke. Cigars (sort of) the cigs, rolls ups when skint, then cigs again, the cigars when I quit the cigs. Finally had to quit the cigars when I was doing nearly as many cafe cremes as I would have been doing Marlboro lights.

Still feel the pull. having spent some time around teams that smoked about 8 years back, pretty damned sure I'd just hack if I tried a decent cigar now.

Still feel like trying sometimes!

Snap.. Cafe Cremes.. 20 a day before I realised that this was the new problem.. followed by Vaping to try and kick the Cremes which worked for me.. 6mth Vaping and now Cigars only on the rare occasion I see my 2 uncles and then their weapon of choice, a Churchill by Davidoff not sure exactly which one but it is a good smoke..... not had one since lockdown V1.. but now overdue a meetup and to share a bottle of malt and a cigar with the old timers while losing my watch, shirt, soul over a game of poker with them.

Not smoked for about 15 years now....

8 years for me.. last Vape was 2012... but probably 2 or 3 cigars per year. Happily it has never led to resuming old habits !

I father doubt I can do that. I think I have an addictive personality. One is never enough. Of anything.

Never smoked. My dad did, starred at 15 or so. At 35ish, was walking up the hill to the town center and got out of breath big time. Analysed, look down at the *** in his hand, made the connection and threw it away. Never smoked again. The man.

Wow... didn’t expect hat outcome.
Sorry guys, I enjoy a Havana cigar, always have. For me, it’s the same as enjoying a bloody decent btl of Bordeaux. I’m fully aware of the vegan brigade, the veg brigade, and all of the rest of them.
The thing is, where are we going, if we can’t enjoy what is determined as the greatest tastes on earth. Let it go, set fire to our Maserat’s, Ferrari’s, big V8 cars?

I love a nice cigar and usually get some nice ones for birthday/Christmas presents. I don’t smoke in the house so it’s a lazy summer’s evening thing for me.

Be careful Mrs. C doesn’t read this or there could be a full investigation for evidence of another Mrs. C

OK. There are things I've taken a vow about. Actually the non-smoking thing is a similar level, but deffo something to be discussed over a beer, not the internet ;)

PS, I was only interested in starting a cigar thread....

Balls. Sorry @Bebs. You do you. Sadly I cannot. Any more than I could look at your man cave drinks cabinet and not try to empty it in about 3 weeks.

That's me, not you! (PS Offer still stands when you want to move your speakers on) ;)

I was given a couple of what the person who gave me them told me were chocolate cigars. He had a friend who sent them over from America. Packs of 4 or 5 and an orange pack. I cannot remember the name but always look at for similar. They were lovely with a sweet scent and taste. Wish I knew what they were.
