Chris Harris On… Maserati

Positive up to a point. He did say something about no other / few other / similar,
car companies have tried so hard to kill themselves. And I seem to recall that he took
a swipe at the diesels and SUVs, which I wholeheartedly agree with.
Excuse the paraphrasing.
I thought he nailed it.

Does anyone know how well the MC20 is actually selling? I mean actual, not manipulated to give the image of in demand.

still feel they over egged the price, £150k I’d be in for one and accept I’d dump £50k on it

Well, they’ve sold out production until Q2 2023 so I heard. Not sure whether that includes the Cielo.

When I spoke to the HR Owen guy at London concours, he said there's a 2 year wait on the MC20 and 2-2.5 years win the Cielo.

However, the ones on Auto Trader have been there a while......

Liked the bit about Ford stalks in the DB7 “our customers would not notice never having sat in a Ford.”

'The Maserati 3200 was wild' my fave part of the conversation.

The man has got a point - isn't the 3200 the fastest manual Maserati ever? Working on the basis a 3200 actually is about 400BHP when put on a rolling road.

Agreed there seems to be a few new/barely used ones available for a while… seems odd given they are supposed to be high in demand/long waiting lists.

It might be the case of restricted supply to dealers, to cause marketing hysteria/demand…? Or people hoping to make a quick few quid by flipping their motors they just bought.

I would love a Cielo (with a loud sports exhaust), but would wait until the heavy depreciation has kicked in after a few years.
