I had a small ding in the passenger door and a large scuff on the nearside front wing, I contacted a few well known repair shops for estimates which ranged from £2000 to £2600, A friend recommended Chips Away who quoted me around £350 for the work. Naturally I was sceptical about the quality of work that one would get for such a disparity in price.

I went with the ChipsAway guys who did an excellent repair which is totally undetectable. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of their work, the same day turnaround and price. I will be using them for bodywork repairs in the future.

My Jag ongoing to the StAlbans branch tomorrow for a nasty bumper scuff - always been delighted with the results.

One thing I am not sure about is if their repairs stand up to machine polishing in the future?

Some of them are extremely good

This. Only use a recommend one, they probably have done years in a bodyshop.

I had one, which was not recommended to me and it was a total cock up.

I do know MAF has a guy who is brilliant and thus very booked up.
