Has anyone used the button sticker kits available on Ebay?

2002-06 MASERATI CAMBIOCORSA COUPE SPYDER DELUXE BUTTON RESTORATION KIT

How was the result?

I see they've sold nearly 400 kits, so someone must have bought one.

Seen some photos on Maserati Life. They look about as good as you imagine sticking a bit of vinyl onto a button.

Sending the buttons to the US for refurb might be far better, but I'm worried about the time and having them go missing.

If you could pay, plus a deposit refunded on receipt of your own, and get them up front, it would be much easier and less worrying.

I agree, it's the shipping that's put me off to date too.

Alternatively, put together a spare set (of hen's teeth), send that off for refurb and fit on receipt. Then the sticky set out of your car becomes a spare set for someone else.

I tried to put together a spare set for the GS a while back but only got as far as the window switches, which have now been returned to Matt.

I think this is one of those things where its better to pay a premium and get it professionally redone so you never have to deal with it again. Stickers on these switches will always look awful.

Hi guys
I am currently refurbing my set, with what seems good success. I did the centre panel and steering column shrouds in about an hour. I will get a better pic when I get to the window switches.
Secret? Not really. Clean with isopropanol and a cotton cloth, this takes most of the time - be thorough. Then spray with an alkyd resin lacquer, at least 4 coats of silk matt. Got mine at Lidl, Parkside brand, a gbp 2.99 can does the whole cockpit! They say the lacquer is recoatable, so in future a clean and respray should keep us all going.
As usual, do this at your own risk - practice on the underside shroud where it won't show!
Happy button pushing.
