Child seat solutions for a GS

Thanks to everyone, notably Dicky, who has been able to provide reassurance that transporting kids in the back of a GS isn't the utter folly it might otherwise be (just some kind of minor folly perhaps, but where there's a will...!)

I'm now looking for solutions to shore up the rear of the car against two 5 year old boys. I'm thinking:

- High density foam bolsters to fill the buckets
- A seat cover for uprights and seats, preferably vaguely to shape
- Child seats
- Protectors for the backs of the driver and passenger seats

Does anyone have any recommendations for any of these items please?

I've read about bolsters, but unclear whether what was being referred to was the (no longer de rigeur) back-less booster seats or intended as an infill. If anyone has made their own and has tips for a pattern or approach that would be great.

Thanks in advance...

I fill the bucket with a couple of towels in my 4200. Perhaps not the neatest solution, but I was confident that it's safe for my little one.

She is 4 and in a high back booster type seat now, we simply went to Halfords and tried a couple out to see what would fit.
I fit a seat protector below it that I bought on Amazon - be sure you get one than has a flap down the front to protect the seat from your kids heels.

For the front seat, again I used a universal cover for the back of the seat to protect from kicking, but fount it pretty much useless due to the shape of 4200 seats (basically, no headrests and most seem to be designed to hook around where the headrests fit in).

There was a post on here quite recently recommending a booster I think...

Edit:
It was a GranTurismo thread, my mistake...

My kids were 2 and 6 when I bought mine, and I filled the buckets with cushions before securing the child seats.
I also bought a full rear seat cover (designed for dogs custom made LOL) off another forum member that worked very well.
Regarding the backs of the seats...take their shoes off!
They are now 9 and 13, so sold the seat cover to another forum member last year, and they are now old enough and sensible enough to sit in the back normally with no child seats etc.

I also used a pet thing I bought in Aldi for roadtrips with the kids, and we had those blow-up bubblebum things that fitted nicely in the buckets to put a proper booster seat on.

Just for the record, happy to report that I got our kids in the back no problem. We have Britax Römer seats with soft isofix connectors that fold out of the way in the Gransport but can be used in the daily driver.

I did put a towel down but mostly just for protection as they sit quite neatly in the bucket. No fouling of the headrests and a reasonable contact with the seat upright.

Grins all round!
