Charging QP battery in situ

Flat again - time, lack of use, remote working, odd short trip, is it advisable or even possible to charge the battery without having to yank it out of the cubby-hole and ruining my nails?

Chaps did it for jump start on the ferry last time so I think it is - any tips/caveats/warnings?

Yes
I used to charge mine without too much problem.
The +ive crocodile clip attaches to the clamp. Not a great fit and can be awkward to get to
Same for the -ive clamp but easier to get at.
I managed successfully to keep mine on trickle
I think too that one of the terminal posts on the top plastic tray thingy is also usable but I never tried this
My nail varnish was un damaged o_O

Agreed, it's OK to charge with the battery in situ.
It removes the chances of you drinking the acid but watch that you don't put the charger clamps on your nipples.

Two H&S messages in one post.

When do they normally go to too flat to start? I’m on 3 weeks so far not moved just a solar charger fitted. If it’s say 4 weeks to not starting I’ll test it next week if the charger is up to the job.

We leave ours on the Ctek the whole time now since it went flat in 3 days and its not being used much. The ctek even comes with an adapter which clips onto the clamps so its easy to connect.

I have a Halfords one, it has little round flat connectors - are they the same as on CTEK?

For the last 15 years I’ve always left mine connected to a Ctek if not using for more than a week.

They don't connect to the terminals direct, but normally to one of the other connections, of which there are often many.

I just leave the Croc clips to socket lead, that comes with the ctek, connected. Saves faffing around with bolts.

My came with a ctek charger from new with connections already on the battery, just plug it in. I leave it connected at all the time when not using for more than a week or so and all through winter.
