I’ve got to say that none of the local hostelries I go in would dare put that on the bar and expect payment.

You are jesting. It’s like pi55 water.

You're drinking the wrong stuff. Sure, we do export pi55 to the north, for fun, but the good stuff we hang on to.

I highly recommend Doombar, plus Fuller's and Adnams beers are lovely. And Proper Job. That's a lovely IPA. Beats the shite out of Worthingtons.

I will concede I enjoy a doom bar when I’ve had my jabs and head Sarf, Worthingtons is the stuff we send down your way. Wasn’t impressed with Fullers but not had Adnams.

I went to the Doctor the other day and said I'm addicted to lager. He said lie down and he pi55ed in my mouth.
Now I'm addicted to Doctor's pi55 and it's a lot more difficult to get.

Chaos on the coast road up in North Norfolk today. Hundreds of cyclists racing along there, absolute nightmare for car drivers.
I do wonder who picks these venues to have these push bike races, it was dangerous. I was in one queue of traffic waiting to go round some cyclists when another lot of cyclists overtook the traffic.

I find that most motorway hold ups with moving traffic is caused by bl**dy middle lane hoggers.
Today I've returned from Ypres (Belgium) after the International Rally over the weekend, 2 lane motorway flowing freely as once an overtake is completed they move back into lane 1.
Over here on the way home (M20/26/4), 3 lanes and people doing 55/60 in lane 2 with nothing in lane 1 sometimes for miles, result = tailbacks.
Get the feck over, the "fast lane" can be lane 1 if nothing's there.
There's no such thing as the "Slow lane", "Fast lane" and "overtaking Lane"

Sorry, ran over.

Ghost Ship is another Adnams winner. Very gorgeous summer ale.

In the Land of the Free (hahahahaha!), you're allowed to overtake in any lane you want, which is nice. It can cause people to swerve from lane to lane, charting a course between slower vee-hickles, which is probably much worse, but at least you don't get frustrated when someone's going too slowly in an overtaking lane.

As an aside, how did your rally go?

Oh yes. Perhaps a trifle heavy on the hops

C

There's an Adnams lager, which is excellent. I can't remember the name, but it's extremely satisfying. A glass of that sitting outside the Butt & Oyster at Pin Mill is an excellent way to while away as much time as you wish.

I assume it's not the same these days but as a kid, during the summer holidays, the traffic frequently used to be at a near standstill from Wareham right through to Studland. Might have had been partially something to do with the road from Studland to the ferry being a toll road or perhaps more people holidayed at home 30 years ago. Not entirely relevant, just reminiscing.

That bl€€ding chain ferry could easily be replaced by a bridge with a gap for boats but its a protected nimbyland... so sandbanks has a queue in the morning and the purbeck has one in the afternoon. Brilliant!
