Hi all
Tried searching but 100s of pages came up........gave up reviewing after 5 pages!
Think the granturismo needs a new battery, On a trickle charger over winter but cold snap has not been kind I fear. Looked on RAC website and they say it needs to go a dealer, that can't be right surely?
Car is 2009 sport auto.

It does not need to go to a dealer.
It looks a bit scary as there are various fuse like connections but it’s no more complicated than a changing any battery.

The clamp is at the top so easy to access

Make sure you remove the “vent plug” abd connect the little breather.

I believe the recommended battery is "S5 013 Bosch S5 Heavy Duty".

Price is £100 - £135 and a 5 year warranty.

Keep it healthy on the trickle charger if not being used much. Once a battery goes low it is permanently damaged, so best to keep it topped up for longevity and reliability.

Also recommended on here is the Exide EA1000, slightly better than the Bosch S5 for output and normally a touch cheaper.
I bought one via Tayna batteries online for somewhere around £100 delivered and never experienced any issues.

Looks to be around £115 delivered at the moment on there:

I bought an Exide EA1000 too. Highly recommend it.

I'll do a how to if you want later tomorrow. But changing the battery is a piece of urine. If you know which end of a spanner to hold then you're good to go.

A how to would be good in terms of any electrical resets required afterwards, key in ignition or not etc….

On My 911 you have to teach it the window open/closed positions for one touch opening etc.

Don't do what I once did. Whilst wearing a metal watch strap I managed to connect postive terminal to watch strap to spanner to negative terminal, the results I'll leave to your imagination but it takes a really long time to get battery acid out of your eyes!!o_O

Just did mine in the Stelvio, looks very similar. Remember the two little screws at the +ve plate if fitted. I then had to reset the steering, by turning full lock each way, then switch on/off a few times to clear alarms. All now good.

Instead of keeping mine on the ctek when I know the spyder will sit for a couple of weeks Mr RR is using the isolator switch (too difficult for my arthritic hands to manage) - what's wrong with that?

I fitted this myself when my battery died during a trip to France. So far no complaints.

Just would like to add how reliable I’ve found the Bosch after four years. Has been run to flat on at least four occasions (left for too long and alternator problems) but still going great.

Got back yesterday after 15 days whilst the car was in Gatwick Long Stay and it started first time without any problems.
