Renown for bad driving

I used to go to Bradford at least twice a week , some of the worst driving I've ever witnessed was in Bradford, nearly always in a German car

I once had 3 of them overtake me doing at least 60 in a 30 , it's like the wild west :D
You’re right, it’s shocking round there. The really weird thing is it starts almost immediately, at the pudsey turn off from the Leeds ring road. You can even tell the cars that are about to turn off onto Leeds Rd towards Bradford. I always have little bets with myself about which bad drivers are about to turn left there, and I’m nearly always right...

I’ve gotta say that I love all the driving aids nowadays, speed limiter, auto cruise, lane assist, auto steering, speed sign recognition and auto parking which in particular is bloody brilliant.

If everyone had them and used them there’d be far less accidents.
Agree on all that....except for the auto parking thing. I’ve had three cars with this and I’ve never used it. Wouldn’t even know how to.

Where's the fun in all that.. gotta feeling the 70's and 80's were the halcyon days of driving..
I'm glad I was there!

Yeah with you on this one Dave.
I just like Driving and especially the charm of driving older simpler cars for the feedback you get from your own brain making the decisions.

I do too but I think the older I’ve gotten I like the idea, that feeling, that the car is looking out for you-particularly with a young family on board.

What about Motorcycles? All this tech and restrictions being forced upon the motorcar, I think I may obtain a bike license. ****'em.

I don't know what the plan is for bikes
At the IOM TT 2019 there was an electric bike race but only one lap as that was the limit of their range

I can't see a bike ever having a decent range without weight problems

I shall await my jaunting belt as used by the Tomorrow People. Problem solved, well until the legislators and safety conscious get involved ;)

Unless we want to drive around like you have a 10 year old on your lap, were all done!

After saying that I was a 10 year old when my uncle Reg took me out for a run in his new Morgan three wheeler, I was on he's lap steering with a bit of help...remembering him saying we must have been doing well over 60;)

Prime example , the car chosen is unusual though :D

At the end of the video the narrator says the Morris Minor’s tag line was once “wizardry on wheels.”
It wasn’t. That was the Morris Mini-Minor, aka the Mini, that annoyed me ;)

And in a car with none of the modern safety stuff that lets you drive quickly without any real ability.
