Change of coolant hose of left turbocharger

Hi guys!

Seems my left turbocharger cooling hose started leaking.
From what I saw today in the garage, there‘s basically no space at all to work.
Did anyone manage to change this one and give me some advice on how to proceed?

Thank you very much!

You probably don't wish to go this far! I replaced all hoses on my 3200 GT with Roose Motorsport silicon hoses.

This was done while replacing the cam belt, water pump, knock sensors, etc.

By left I trust you mean nearside on a UK right hand drive model.
I had the very same hose burst on the Chiswick roundabout several years ago, the first of many low loader trips!
The hose itself was out of stock for several weeks cost about £10/£15 or so.
I managed to change it on my drive, car on axle stands, in the dark (it was easier to see with a work light than during the day when the bright sky makes you squint when looking up through the engine)
I remember loosening the alternator but didn’t have to remove anything.
Good luck

Same one that went on mine, at the very start of the Centenary trip! It was repaired, then replaced on my return. Hose was a bit more than £10 then.

Its not easy to get at I know that. I replaced all these hoses when I replaced the two turbos (took off the subframe) so I would hopefully never face this problem.

It is possible on your back and easier than the one behind the a/c compressor. I recall having to slacken off the alternator and removing air filter box to allow removal of various plastic ducts and pipes in the vicinity of the pipe.

I managed to change both, it was horrible because of limited access and the factory clips are basically crimped. The hoses broke off as they were soft, and then at the far end I used a dremel remote disc cutting tool to cut off the crimped hose clip. Fitting the new ones was a fiddle but not too bad, you will need a good long flexible hose clip driver and or 1-4” ratchet set, perhaps with a right angle driver.

I replaced all main hoses with Roose Motorsport hoses. Just the tiny hidden ones not, of course...
Had also cam belt, water pump, knock sensors, etc. replaced, so no shortcuts at the moment to acces this little *******.
With left I mean the uk righthand driven passenger side.
It’s true that they are really cheap at Maserati.
But I would directly fit Roose hoses.
The only Problem is that since I already bought the main hoses kit, I doubt that they will sell me now just the small ones...

The small ones were nothing to write home about, just small straight lengths of silicon hose, obviously it needs to be suitable for coolant, not large vacuum line or anything like that. I fitted the full Roose kit, may be a few pics of the kit as shipped in my assetto Corsa winter works thread.

Hi guys!

Would someone know the inner diameter oft this hose?
I have them from Roose Motorsports but won’t get to them before 3 weeks time.
And I don’t want to have the Maserati part in there again.

Thanks!
