Cerbera to Stradale

I fancy a change as I’ve had the TVR for 12 years and for the last few years I’ve found I’ve hardly used it.
I’d like something a little less raw than the TVR as I think I’d use it more.
I’m yet to drive a stradale but I’m thinking it may be somewhere between the comfort and refinement of a standard granturismo and the sportiness of a TVR?
Looks and sound have always been my first priorities when buying a fun car and I think it ticks both those boxes.

I'm a Tuscan owner of 16 yrs now, coupled with 4yrs with the Strad. They compliment one another very well indeed and after many years taking the Tuscan overseas on long road-trips, taking the Strad in 2019 to Spain really cemented my positive view of its attributes when being properly "driven". It certainly isn't as raw as the Tuscan, and it won't feel as "go-kart" agile as a TVR - but its composed nature/balance/weight actually gives you more confidence that the TVR does/would, with the gearbox in race mode being extremely quick. The noise in the Strad is epic - different, but on a par with the rawness of the straight-six in the Tuscan - and both are, IMHO, stunning and ageless designs. I have a 4 seater but wanted that specifically for family use - a 2 seater was pointless in that respect to me.

It must be a myth, most people who have owned one say they are reliable.
Mine has never broken down in the 12 years I’ve had it, occasionally it drains the battery if I forget to put the charger on.

They drain the battery? You will feel right at home in the Stradale then haha

That’s beautiful. Rare to see one with the long induction hoses.

Very good luck with the sale.

Had one, loved it. Used as a daily and the servicing was a bit much, pretty much a suspension rebuild every 6K miles.

As me, only car she won’t let me buy, the ‘Widowmaker’.
You’d tame it, just takes a little getting used to. I loved the two Cerbs I owned, pure exhilaration every time I drove them, plus knowing how unpredictable they were kept the adrenaline high. I’ll have another at some point and if I could find my old 4.5 would have it back if the price was right.

Lovely looking example and always been tempted by a Cerbera. Just always found it hard to move on or away from a Chimaera.
