A few years back I had a couple of years living in an upper floor flat that overlooked a specialist ppf/valeting buisness in south Manchester.
High end ferraris/Lamborghinis etc were often always there, amongst other all high end stuff. They be left for several days for work to be done, but when they were picked up by the (usually fairly young) owners the mechanical sympathy shown was zero.
They were clearly stone cold and they’d rev them as soon as they were started up, then as they pulled out of the yard to head up the road towards the A34 dual carriageway, they’d nail them in 1st and 2nd, followed by wringing them out even more once they hit the dual carriageway. You could here them for about a mile! Often thought what long term damage they may be doing.
Seemed odd to me wanting to spend ‘000’s protecting the paint then immediately doing your best to destroy your engine/gearbox!
