Just received a 'hello' from the organisers and the date for this years event,
All Italian marques are welcome and it usually turns out to be a good closing event for our outdoor activities.
As far as I am aware it is the same format this year and I will post any info exclusively on this site - NOT Faebook (talk amongst yourselves folks).

We usually get a good varied turn out of forum cars and the idea is that we are allocated a static display area for our Bellas and may also participate in giving passenger rides to the public by pre arrangement with the organisers. All proceeds from the event go to a good cause.
I do need to give them an idea about numbers so that they can plan a prime spot for us.
The throngs of ogling spectators can sometimes be a nuisance though, best to ignore them in my opinion.

I think I had a couple of nods from the 'Guys' at the AROC meet this morning? (Alfa, Maserati, Fiat, Abarth - Oh, can't remember  )

Let's get productive and start a list then:

  1. luckes GTV6 - 1999 Alfa Romeo GTV6
  2. You? - Yor'n Bella?

Good morning Ladies & Gentlemen :D

The time has come to submit numbers to the organisers so that they can allocate our area in the paddock.

Today we have :
  1. luckes GTV6 - 1999 Alfa Romeo GTV6
  2. MrMickS - 2001 Alfa Romeo Spider
  3. FIFTY - 4200 GT
  4. Kazzer - not sure which one
  5. MarkMas - 2009 QPV
  6. Alfa Muppet- 2019 Giulia Veloce
-- I have one verbal to add from last nights Alfa meeting & AROC have kindly put it on Farcebook now so more Massers please!

Please let me know before next Monday If you would like to be there, it's one of the last events of the year and an accessible venue:-

  1. for a forum social get-together,
  2. to dine (a completely unsolicited testimonial from FIFTY above),
  3. to put FTD on the slalom scoreboard and win a free track ride,
  4. to pick up spares/advice from Merlin Motorsport,
  5. to try to understand why other motor enthusiasts dare to be seen driving inferior marques
  6. maybe reset your airbag light (there's often someone there with an ECU diagnostic widget)
-- I could go on but this link should explain what the event is about:

c'mon, you know you want to!

Is Italian only cars?
Nope:

But there's usually a forum contingent of Masers and Alfas. I've done a few over the years and hope to make it this year as I missed the last one.

- If I'm allowed as unlikely to be in the poorly 4200 Spyder as it's not due back from mechanic until end-October so it would be the Honda S2000 and also if I'm not too late
8. RoaryRati - probably S2000

Hope you get your Masser sorted in time but no problem with the Honda and also Rockits with the Vantage if you want to be in the paddock display.
We had a similar thing last year but could you both please park in the first bays next to the Strawford Centre- I ask the others to leave the 2 spots clear for you guys. That will keep all the' Italians' together.

OK Guys, current listing for our forum static display team is now:-

  1. luckes GTV6 - 1999 Alfa Romeo GTV6
  2. MrMickS - 2001 Alfa Romeo Spider
  3. FIFTY - 4200 GT
  4. Kazzer - not sure which one
  5. MarkMas - 2009 QPV
  6. Alfa Muppet- 2019 Giulia Veloce
  7. Alexpie - Granturismo S
  8. RoaryRati - probably S2000
  9. Phil H - QP
  10. Rockits - Vantage?
  11. AnZ – Fiat 124
  12. Mr. Z sen. – Lancia saloon

I had advised the organizers to expect 12 plus and will hold entries open a little longer, but not forever so don’t miss out on a good day out. Seems I had better nudge the organizers that we may need more space!!

So if any of our Welsh enthusiasts fancy a blast through the Brynglas tunnels it’s a very legitimate reason to be doing it!
I use a Newport dentist for that very reason!

Sorry to be late in posting this blurb but BT trashed my phone and internet connection at the 11th hour!

All OK now :)
