BMW X6. Nuff said.
This

Lamborghini Urus, like an X6M but for a Kenny Lunt so Luntish that entire realms of gynaecology have yet to be discovered to truly delve deep into just how much of a Kenny Lunt the person can be.

Also Mitsubishi PHEVs. The car itself is inoffensive enough, it’s the mindset of the owner vs the realities of it not really saving the earth... usually bought by pseudo environmentalists who tut at a full petrol yet will go on at least two long haul holidays a year and several city breaks.

There is a guy near me who has the largest private collection of cars in the UK and largest private collection of Lagonda's as well I believe. I think he has 8 of them. Rodger Dudding, Studio 434.
I’ve had a wander around his storage facility - well, one of them - he has an eclectic collection. Also has a couple of those Towns Hustler Mini-based square things. I quite like them; much like the Lagonda it’s not something I’d ever buy but I’m glad they exist. Similarly a lot of other things appeal to me because they’re so reviled. The Sierra/Scorpio, for example, the rank silliness of Mitsuoka. Life would be dull without these cars.
I find dull porridge even more offensive, all cars looking vaguely the same; crossovers/SUVs all the same.
I also find the obsession with enormous wheels, and tiny strips of rubber annoying. Not so much for ride comfort, more that I’ve spoken to engineers and they’d rather have more rubber to play with but the marketers need sikk rimz bro.
Though I find the obsession with reducing window sizes annoying to, and that’s down to the engineers. Glass is obviously one of the heaviest items on a car so to reduce weight they reduce window sizes; also helps to reduce mass far up in the car. Sadly also means most cars are like driving a tomb. Remember driving one of the last XJs and having no real idea where the front of the car was, or the rear...

Anything called Excalibur.. seen one of these in the flesh and it looked like Liberace's dream car .. I actually laughed when I saw one pull into a petrol station in Boston and fully expected an over the top drag queen to get out of it.. rather surprisingly a small fat bloke sort of fell out over the running board...

My old boss has one. It’s impressive and sounds fantastic. He gave me a lift in it from one place to another in the Piedmont hills. In general, you’re assessment is spot on.

oh.. should have written top6.. not top5... I completely forgot the prowler, like most traumatic memories..... I remember seeing these at Bauer and Millett in Manchester and just thought why ? They had one sat next to a v10 Viper and it looked like like a badly assembled kit car even in comparison to a viper which has m8 bolt heads visible in the interior trim. It is the Danny Dyer of cars.. a proper Mockney.. what a turdspangle... surely only bought by Fat blokes with hair pieces who watched films from the 50's with hot rods in them and thought "get me some of that" but missed the target by a considerable margin... It has Jimmy Hills chin and, from the look of it, they completely forgot to design the back end... what a pig... sorry marginal rant over, must stop drinking Stella past midnight...

They are stunning (if you like them that is!). Like an Nimitzt class aircraft carrier! Would love one as a toy.

I have to say those Lagonda's are stunning looking machines.. the AM dealer in Wilmslow had one a few years back.. it looked amazing.

And just think, these same folks that brought you the prowler, (and PT Cruiser) now have their mitts on Maserati...:(
Happily it was in reverse... FIAT swiped Chrysler - so lets hope part1 of full acquisition was to execute the designers of the prowler / cruiser / cruiser convertible... / voyager / sebring etc etc....

Turdspangle hall of shame.....

Completely agree, the cruiser is hideous full stop.
The prowler however does have a certain appeal, different for sure, but I do not find it offensive like the cruiser!
Back in the early 2000s when I had the Mondial I had to leave it at Meridien for a service. The business had expanded to take on both Alfa and Chrysler dealerships. Imagine my face when they showed me my ‘courtesy’ car: Gold PT Cruiser with chrome alloys.......just w@nkerish.

Citroen SM, Alfa SZ and the Ssyangyong Rodius are, IMO, aesthetically challenged bordering on pig ugly munters. No offence Zag.
