Absolutely tragic that anyone gets so desperate that they can even contemplate this, rest in peace you poor sweet girl.

Not quite the same but when I was clinically depressed 2000 I feared death, feared the end of my life and oblivion. So I hated life, but didn't want no life. Thinking about it with hindsight it was probably an marker for a desire for change. My 25 year old son is experiencing the same but he's very resistant to change, won't take the risks I've taken/been forced to to change.

Shame this poor girl couldn't distance herself from herself and reinvent herself personally.

Tragic as any loss of life is, she was charged with assaulting her partner, if the shoe was on the other foot no one would be saying “how sad” or “poor sweet boy”.

I’ve worked with two guys who have been victims of domestic abuse from the wives. One would come in black and blue every Monday morning and we just assumed he went out on the lash and got into fights. One day after about 3 years he didn’t turn up for work. Eventually after a couple of weeks we found out she’d put him in hospital and when he got out he’d run away.

The other one was more mental, she never let him out by himself, drove him to and from work, didn’t let him have credit or bank cards and would check his phone everyday. Eventually he escaped too and told us about it, it’d be going on for 20 years.

It’s reckoned that domestic abuse is split about 60:40 women to men.

A tragic loss of life and it’s a shame she couldn’t find help but let’s not put her on a pedestal.

In this case the boyfriend has publicly come out and said the charges were nonsense, other people have had a different view, suppose they knew better so why not print it. Absolute scumbags, without meaning to offend anyone look how long it took to get justice for the 96 after the press absolutely vilified the victims, they are worse than sewer rats.....Now for this sad tale someone , in fact more than one, must be held accountable, every story they ran should be scrutinised.

He didn’t say the charges were nonsense, he said he didn’t want her charged. The police were quite clear that she hit him over the head with a lamp while he was asleep and the wounds were serious enough that they would press charges with or without his cooperation.

Many victims of domestic abuse follow this exact behaviour as they don’t won’t their loved one to get in trouble.

So very sad, not only for the loss of her young life, but suicide can have a massive impact on friends and family with the feeling of guilt about not having done enough can last a life time.

So called celeb status may bring the fame and fortune so many people crave for but it brings with it the sort of public scrutiny and attention that history tells us can be unbearable.

My prayers are for her and her family and friends, they will need them..........

RIP

"I'm tired of the lies and abuse aimed at my girlfriend," he said. "This is not a witch hunt this is someone's life."
He added: "Caroline is the most lovely girl. Loyal and kind. She doesn't deserve any of this."

Metropolitan Police said she had been charged with assault by beating. They did not name the victim, but said he was not seriously injured.

So why? Why all the press ********?
Lads knock 10 bells out of each other on a weekly basis up here and i mean10 bells, nothing is done, no charges or anything so what made this case so special as to bring charges? Even the police said the victim was not seriously injured? ******* stinks.

To me it's nothing worse than a domestic that has been blown out of all proportion by the Police and the Media, who both now have blood on their hands.

As I mentioned before I’ve seen domestic abuse in the relationships of people I’ve worked with and we’ve got to stop considering it “just a domestic.”

Exactly, if my missus punches and kicks, or indeed, hits me with a lamp, while I’m drunkingly snoring.
Who gives a flying f@#£. No one, neither of us in the public-eye.
I’m not dismissing domestic violence btw.
Tragic that anyone’s life should come to this, whatever the reason. But I guess the press twunts won’t care, they will just have more fuel for more stories.

Been there, she came in after a night out, twatted me right on the nose, blood and everything (thinking back this 5hit kicked off every week) which I was quite upset about so after I smashed the telly up in rage she locked herself in the bathroom, that was 20yr ago , that's life and I'm still married. Can't remember the paps asking me for a statement though....;)

I think this will be a wake up call for the social media types and gossip columns. The innuendoes, gossip stories and down right lies put out by 'journalists' trying to make their name and trying to sell gutter newspapers to an unintelligent audience who have been indoctinated to have hunger for this diatribe is jst wrong with this society. Take all this cr4p about the royals for instance. Will any of this affect us?

I stopped buying newspapers back in the 90s and will only pick one up unless a, if it's free and b, if it has a decent crossword and c,I'm on a plane or train and nothing else to do.

The gutter media, lead by Murdoch and his empire are to blame and should change. But I doubt they will, they didn't after the perverting the cause of justice by their involvemnt of the Sara Payne enquiry. Which was simply inhumane.

It's sad that 'good' people that Flack dies and bad people like Trump, Murdoch and Put(a)in still live on like a cancer.

With you on newspapers Martin. Not picked one up for 20 years. They wreck people's lives and all in the name of a story. The news on TV is just as bad.

You forgot Zerohedge, Martin.

Whilst I couldn’t state with such certainty that this death is attributable to wankpot journalism and ignorant, spiteful, unaccountable and non-verified social media bullshite, I do agree that for the most part both those things are just vile. Remember that the world has very few news gathering outfits - the BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera and Sky. The rest may have some roving reporters but they’re too underpaid (because we don’t buy newspapers), stupid or lazy to anything than recycle shite off the Internet. Just look at how many news stories are validated with tweets. Nah, I agree, it’s bollox.
