About to buy service kit for twin SU HS8 carburettors from my 1967 Rover 2000TC (P6) and elected to outsource the job.
Would you believe there is a specialist in my nearest big town, Leighton Buzzard!
Proper Aladin's cave https://www.carburetterexchange.co.uk. run by lovely older chap. Might get them back after 6 weeks, but no rush as the car has sat idle well over a year. Will report back on the results but the full rebuild quote is very reasonably priced.

su's are a doddle to service and enjoyable, not a lot to them, did loads in my younger days on minis, out interest what's the damage to get them rebuilt

online quotes up to £350 each HS8 http://sucarb.co.uk/restoration-prices
This company was £135 for the pair (I think!)
I am keen to do a service / rebuild on some carbs. These twin carbs developed stuck butterfly on front carb, and linkage out of sorts. Will do a single carb for my first rebuild :)

Fitted a pair of SUs to my 1923 Vauxhall 23-60. Took me a while to get the needles 'right', but it now runs beautifully. They are wonderful carburettors...
