With the internet it’s easy. Just look on autotrader at similar cars then predict how much across the car the dealer will want / need considering prep work and warranty etc. Part exes will vary according to what you are buying and how much they have across that car. WBAC would give a good yardstick across lower to mid value cars but for specialised and high end cars, its next to useless in my experienceBased on Your personal experience can anyone recommend a realistic and reasonably accurate car valuation site. I know there are many available on line, but which is the best as far as getting a realistic PX evaluation.
Good advice, but it’s not easy to predict how much across the car (profit) a dealer wants. He obviously wants as much as possible. What I want to do is walk in, pay the dealers advertised price, get a fair part exchange and drive away with the car. Or just walk away, (well, not literally walk away as I arrived in a car ) But need a baseline as far as a realistic part ex is concerned in advance. With the internet it’s easy. I agree, WBAC only ever offer rock bottom pricing so I would never ever use them.....you can do much better elsewhere like ' Motorway' . They offered me within £2k of my market price on Autotrader. So you need to shop around but recognise that Maseratis are not the type of car that these kind of guys are looking for, so they always offer low. Your best best is look to part ex for another car which is much easier to sell, then you are likely to get a much better part ex price and if you buy a popular car then you should be able to shift it pretty quickly if you need the cash.Depends on quite a few things and what car your trading it against.
I've never found WeBuyAnyCar to be anywhere near what you get in reality. For example, my WBAC valuation was 8k less than than a dealer actually gave me when I traded to a car approx 25% more expensive.
Just ask a dealer what they'd give you against a car of 'x' value.
Create an account on AutoTrader and they will give you a px valuation.
