I too have an outdoor Carcoon and it is very good if you want to seal the car up and leave it alone, not easy to access once its inflated. The only thing I found out was that Carcoon don't have much stock on hand and you often have to wait until they haved your order made up, 10-12 days normally.

Sorry messed that up - not easy to access - why?

The carcoon relies on air pressure from the fans to keep it inflated, once you open the zip even partially the air pressure drops and the Carcoon starts to collapse. If you want to get to the car either to check something or get it out you have to deflate and unzip the whole unit which is fine if you are looking for longer term storage but a pain if you want your car out every week or so.

The nice feature I found with the Carcoon is that the power supply for the fans is also a trickle charger for the battery and it also will power the fans in the event of a power cut which is clever.

Ah I see - would be getting the car out quite often - but this appears to be a better solution than a cover as not having to clean the car everytime the cover goes back on we knew about the
fan being a trickle charger also

I had one for my ghibli cup and I have mixed feeling about it.
Like already said, it's superb for long storage.
As long as your place is not to windy! I had a problem with heavy winds during a couple of days and when I removed the cover, I discovered that the edge of the bodywork on the front aisle was sanded off to the primer, probably because the inner structure was rubbing against the bodywork with the wind. It's only on a few centimers, but I was not pleased.
But if you can install it in a relatively protected area, it will do the job.

As for removing the cover, it's indeed quite a pain in the *ss. Not very difficult, but it can take a little bit of time if you want to make it correctly, the same when you put the car inside. The zippers are quitte big and you don't want to scratch your car. And the whole cover is a little bit cumbersome.

In the end, as I had other maserati easier to access, I tended to not use the car under the carcoon, except for a few special occasion.

I should of said also a decent indoor car cover like the Maserati one I got with my car is essential so the zip don't catch the bodywork when taking off/putting back on.
Touch wood I've not experienced anything like Gemini has probably because I'm in a protected area. If there's two people taking it off/putting it back on so much easier.

I looked into one but was put off due to the exposed area that I live in, and the winds would have played havoc. I went for a Dancover tent type garage in the end which lasted for a few years before the wind put paid to that too.
I now have a permanent double garage, built ready for this winter, but the theory of the carcoon looks great if your conditions allow
