was there today with the bloomin torrential rain, some nice cars and some dogs, M635 was lovely, pretty sure i spotted jay kay wondering around and this must of been his ride for the day
indeed - we spent quite a while sitting in and chatting about the M635i. Those 17" split rim BBS looked great!
Really liked the crazy Lotus 49 kit job.

Yep....

As I mentioned later in the thread, deciding to stick or twist...

24k miles means it’s proper low mileage, ok not as low as that unicorn... also in perfect condition. Really enjoyed bringing it back to OEM condition as it came from the factory day one. When I came across original parts like front and rear callipers and discs, I got them plus even getting one of the last brand new unused OEM v4 Sti full exhaust systems plus other bits and bobs

It would allow me to dabble in proper old-skool Maserati ownership...

If you’re thinking of selling, I’d say that now is a good time. Strong used car prices, good interest in that era, and convenient low risk platforms such as collectingcars

It’s a hard one.....

Being involved in rallying for many years, have had a Subaru since 1995 continuously, been involved with Prodrive, adored McRae and Burns (always preferred Richard as a driver - was there when he spanked everyone on a dark pea-souper fog of a Hafren stage in 1998) and couldn’t afford the £38k for a 22b in 1998, it has always been my halo car...

But getting older, I have been getting more involved with late 60’s cars and there is something about an Indy I just can’t get out of my mind....

That's a lot of car for not much.
To me it's in it's least appealing spec - F1 gearbox and Rosso over cream, but then I'm not a fan of red Ferraris.
Perhaps Rosso over cream is no longer the draw it once was? Similar thing happened to the Jaguar XJS and E-type, from what I remember...

I never wanted a red Ferrari my first was blue and the second silver but now a few years on I think that 430 looks beautiful.
Funny how our tastes change.

Agreed. I said I'd never buy a Ferrari but think I have weakened. It would never be a red one though. I think TDF with tan would be my ideal combo.

Rossi over Crema has always been the staple safe car but it's popularity IMHO is its downside as is the most common. Bit too in your face throw an egg at me a red Ferrari these days unless a classic older model.

And you can’t wear red trousers in a red car....

Sebring anyone?

Yes.
Just 'a bit' short of the asking.
Before my era of interest but my god they're beautiful things; there was a silver LHD one at the NEC last year and I had the joy of watching it as it cruised out of the show and along the motorway at packing up time from MC's stand car...

Several interesting Renault 5s and 6R4s in the forthcoming sale:

Do Silverstone not do estimates any more, or is it just they will be posted nearer the time?

@3leftovercrest, I thought this would interest you.
Road going R5, manual 928 and 993 Carrera RS are lovely, but the Conti R Mulliner is loveliest. All the pace and almost as beefy body styling as the T, with better interior room and a nicer dash. And in my favourite colour too...
