Ok so I have an idea running around for a new thread for this magnificent forum where we can self help.

Can someone please?

An example:

I've found x part for my Maserati and it is in Chichester, I'm in Romford, can someone please collect it and bring it to London or Ace or wherever is convenient and on their travels.

Beer tokens optional...

I've done a few runs for Frank and others in the last couple of years, with a sociable group like us I'm sure it happens all the time anyway I am just creating a dedicated link to try out the SportsMaserati.com voluntary courier service. If it takes off Matt has agreed it can be stickied and possibly even become a separate topic so each request can be a separate thread.

So to kick it off, I'm based in Romford and during the week I drive a small van (I can cope with oily bits) if anyone needs anything...

Good idea, Newton. As per the chocolate collections in Austria to satisfy Dem's sweet tooth we can expand it to include non-car oriented parts / ad hoc stuff as well. Anything that needs collecting from one place and shifting to another. ("Have you been given anything to carry by someone else, sir?" "Absol-bloody-lutely not. No way" is of course the right answer).

Adding to Newton's offer, I'll be in Dubai next week if anyone wants anything. Although frankly what anyone might want brought back from Dubai is a mystery to me. Electronic stuff can be marginally cheaper, I suppose.

Adam can you sort us out with 10000lts of petrol and 5000lts of diesel???

ok on this note if im in the car then i can only do car based stuff, if im in a coach then i can probably do upto about 5-6tons
anything legal is no problems but if you wanted say cigarettes or alcohol then i would have to say i Can Not bring it back into the UK due to customs regulation so dont even ask on the public forum....pm me ;)

Underground railway. UKRM has one and it works very well indeed.

I travel mostly from London to Essex, and am happy to shift stuff that can be carried :)

Yep, I see it working for non-car items too, why not?

It's a personal bugbear of mine when you get a win on fleabay only to get scammed on the postage... Collection is king!

Yes, I can vouch for Newtons generosity and indeed a few other decent types on this forum. Although in Ireland I am over to Autoshield end of May, if anything needs brought down to London area, other than that not much use!

P

PS My Maser will be stuffed full of Tayto crisps for in-laws.....though...yeah, you'll have to google them!

For a second there I thought this was a new thread and nearly had a heart attack and was about to shout for someone to get the ban stick out.

On Thursday 13th January, I'm going from Gatwick (On Wednesday!) via Woking to Oxford then possibly on to Newport Pagnell, then back home to Haywards Heath. (No apostrophe!)

If anybody wants anything taking, droping off, collecting then as long as it's not too big then i can take it.

Dependent on size, payment will be in SM Beer Tokens.
