Hi bought an updated relay V23134-B57-X266 for F1 and my gearbox light goes on and off when driving normal but drives fine, put my old X152 back in and it’s fine. Has anyone else experienced this, any ideas please.

Cannot for the life of me think what could cause that, but at a guess the relay is faulty.

I'm sure some one smarter will be along soon.

If this fault is repeatable by swapping the relays then something wrong with the relay. The F1 gearbox ECU monitors the current draw of the relay coil so could explain the on/off fault light every time the relay is cycled for F1 pump operation.

See! I knew someone smarter would come along! I didn't know that, but it makes sense

Just to update, with doing things to the car and roof and every time I open the door the F1 pumps been kicking in the battery has been going flat so put it on trickle charged for a day and night but this morning still not starting so new battery fitted. Went for a run and all ok so put new relay back in and no gearbox light

Glad to hear that. When I joined the forum a few years ago, the friendly experts on here soon made me realise that half the problems with our cars (inc. my Spyder) can be fixed with a new battery.

Thankfully most of the others have been fixed with one of a length of elastic, some grease or 30 minutes flat out.

(Insert your own jokes here...).
