Cambiocorsa LEVEL dash light

Hi All, I'm sure this has been asked before...quite probably by me.

My dash (4200) has a red LEVEL warning which pops up occasionally, albeit too often to ignore.

As I understand it, this relates to the level of the fluid for the CAMBIOCORSA system.

I also understand that this is accesed under the car and there is a drain plug which needs removing. this is also the fill point.

I recall that one fills through this hole until fluid runs out.

What i cant find is the information regarding the correct fluid.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could...

A) Confirm that the LEVEL dash light is indeed the CC system fluid level.

|B) Remind me of the correct fluid i need to use. I appreciate it will depend on whats already in there.

c) Post some photos of the area we will need to access and the drain plug that needs removing.

Thank you very much in advance. I'm afraid a coupler of strokes have meant my memory is no longer what it used to be, So apologies if I've already asked this.

Show me a picture of your owners manual page where it explains what the orginal F1 fluid has been specified. I will then check if its the same as a GT if so I know the modern equivalent. I won't say what to prevent cross information but I will reply when you show your owners manual information.

On a GT there is a max level and it requires a special tool to get right. I believe the 4200 is alot easier
 
For the Maserati 4200 F1 hydraulic system, the factory-specified fluid is Petronas Tutela CS Speed (formerly supplied under the Agip brand). It is a fully synthetic central hydraulic fluid. A high-quality equivalent, such as Pentosin CHF 11S, is frequently used as a direct replacement.

Thread 'Cambio corsa warning light'

I've noticed over 3 (I believe) different journeys I'm getting an intermittent cambio corsa warning light.

It will flash on and off a few times, not flickering but it will come and go and when it does, I can't select a gear.

The gearbox has just had a fluid change, the clutch is only 15% worn and the rest of the time, it shifts perfectly. The F1 pump sounds fine when I open the door, doesn't sound like it's struggling, constant pitch tone etc

Originally I thought it was potentially still thinking I was in reverse (dodgy switch issue) so it wouldn't select a gear, but I had it during a...
 
The level light refers to low hydraulic fluid that operates the cambiocorsa or F1 system, not to be confused with the gear oil (the gear box oil drain plug and level/fill plug on gearbox casing)
The F1 or hydraulic fluid is located in the black reservoir at the bottom left of the photo, you can also see the wires for the level alarm next to the fill cap. There is no 'drain plug' as it is a clean hydraulic system that shouldn't use any oil unless leaking
Access is awkward but I find easier from under the car
As above oil is CHF 11
