Hi all

Anyone recommend a suitable paint to touch up cam covers? On a 4.2 so would be blue.
Thanks

Search for riloplast 80 wrinkle paint.
Also known as crackle paint. Link for one supplier below but search others and ebay.

The red colour is a match for the maserati and ferrari cam covers. They also have a blue colour in their range.

does the touch up method work?
Always assumed they would need a full repaint. Might be another 'nice little project'

Always wondered about doing an Italian stripe or blue stripe through the red to break it up a little and be abit different.

Thanks guys.

Don't know if touch up will work or not.
Getting the cam caskets done so thought I'd get some paint in just to touch up if necessary.
They dont look that bad at the front where you can see but cant really see further along.

Got Dale from Prestige autoworks on it so just getting prepared.

Do you have any before/after pics of them being touched up (ooo errr)? I think my red cam covers were peeling off in a few places..

I think conaero/matt and a few others have done touch up and full repaint so they may have pictures of before and after.

I think there may be a thread on here somewhere with a before and after shots.

Yes - Matt had a full repaint of my cam covers done - they look stunning now. I then joked I wanted the 'gold' bit done - but apparantly you can't get matching paint75586

Conaero did a great job on mine, so good if fact it makes the inlet manifold look terrible! Does anyone know the paint code for the manifold and is it a big job?

We have been looking into this and yes, over painting is an option but still tricky to find the right colour.
